Historical site of Cao Dinh communal house
(BNP) - According to local documents, Cao Dinh communal house (Tri Phuong commune, Tien Du district) was built a long time ago.

During the resistance war against the French, the communal house was demolished to carry out the resistance war. Once peace was restored, the villagers built Emperor’s harem. In 1989, the villagers rebuilt the communal house with 5 front ceremonial halls and 1 emperor’s harem. By 2007, the villagers together made merit and money to rebuild the great communal hall on a large scale.

In front of the communal house is a large brick yard with old green trees, on the left of the communal house is a 5-room striped house, on the right is a communal pond.

Cao Dinh communal house worships the three tutelary gods: Cao Son Quy Minh, Cao Son Dong Vang, and Cao Son Hung Phuc, who had merit to help King Ly Thai To fight the Champa invaders.

In the communal house, the worshiping system is decorated with reverence and solemnity, a number of worshiping objects are exquisitely crafted.

Every year, on the 10th of February (lunar calendar), Cao Dinh communal house opens a festival.

The communal house was ranked as a provincial historical relic, Decision No. 1034 dated September 17, 2013.
