Index of Industrial Production increases by 12.35% in first two months of 2025

(BNP) – According to information from the General Statistics Office, in the first two months of the year, the province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) increased by 12.35% over the same period. This is also the second highest increase in the past 5 years (in 2021, it increased by 20.74%).

Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 12.31%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 5.65% and the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased the most (up 32.08%).

There are 15 major industrial items that have increased in comparison to the same period: printers, smart watches, electronic components and phone batteries of all types, wooden cabinets (excluding kitchen cabinets), iron and steel used in construction, other paper and cardboard...  There are eight major items with lower production levels:  Smartphones, vitamin-based medications, and tulle.
