More than VND 2.1 billion in rewards for coaches and athletes with outstanding achievements at sports tournaments

According to the Decision, VND 2,165 billion will be awarded to coaches and athletes who achieve excellent results at national and international sports tournaments in the first 9 months of 2023.

Of which, the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center had 659 coaches and athletes awarded VND 2,069 billion (the national sports tournament had 427 coaches and athletes of 13 sports; the international sports tournament had 26 coaches and athletes who won medals of all kinds and 16 athletes were awarded the rank of Grandmaster). The Provincial Volleyball Training Center had 32 athletes and coaches awarded VND 96 million.

Accordingly, the highest reward for a medal is VND 40 million/person and belongs to athlete Do Tu Tung and coach Nguyen An Hung Thinh when winning the gold medal in the men's 55kg weightlifting category at the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championship took place in Korea; the lowest reward for a medal is VND 1 million/person.

According to the report, in the 9 months from the beginning of 2023, the province's sports sector sent athletes to compete in 4 international sports tournaments, 10 national sports tournaments and excellently won 217 medals of all kinds.
