PPC’s Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang visits book display at Book and Reading Culture Day

(BNP) - On the afternoon of April 12, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) visited the book display booths at the 3rd Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Bac Ninh province in 2024.

Taking place from April 12 - 14 at the Van Mieu Balancing Lake Park area (Bac Ninh city), the Provincial Book and Reading Culture Day attracted about 40 booths displaying and introducing books from nearly 20 bookstores, book publishing companies and publishers with over 100,000 book titles and nearly 02 million copies of books registered for display.

In addition, there were also a series of activities such as: Giving away books, promoting and introducing books, seminars and exchanges about books with famous speakers, art performances and folk games…

Directly visiting the book display booths, the Chairwoman highly appreciated the direction and organization of activities in the Book Day and Reading Culture program of Bac Ninh province in 2024.

The Chairwoman emphasized that Book and Reading Culture Day with its activities would create positive effects, thereby contributing to spreading and developing reading culture widely among all classes of people. At the same time, she hoped that the values of reading culture would continue to be maintained so that Book Day and Reading Culture in the following years would create greater attraction for readers.
