President of Australian Senate visits KOTO humanitarian vocational training center in Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district
(BNP) - During her official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines and the Australian Parliamentary Delegation recently visited the KOTO humanitarian vocational training center in Phat Tich commune, Tien Du district.

The KOTO humanitarian vocational training center was officially established in 2001. It is a unique non-profit social enterprise in both Vietnam and globally. The center was founded by Mr. Jimmy Pham, an Australian of the Vietnamese origin. Currently, it provides vocational training for nearly 120 students.
The center covers 100% of the living and training expenses for disadvantaged youth, ethnic minorities, and those at risk or marginalized.

More than 1,700 students have graduated from the center since its establishment, with many of them becoming head chefs, sous chefs, hotel and resort general managers, and business owners, etc.
The President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines and her entourage researched the center’s activities. They engaged in exchanging, listening and jointly experiencing several activities in the library, medical room, mixing room, and kitchen of the center.

After her visit, Sue Lines highly valued the facilities such as library, medical room, classroom space, and training activities of the center. At the same time, she expressed her hope that the center would continue to better its humanitarian and training efforts to support more disadvantaged youth, thereby, spreading positive values and contributing to families and society.
