Provincial Farmers’ Union launches 2024 “Make World Cleaner” campaign
(BNP) - On September 19, the Provincial Farmers’ Union launched the 2024 “Make the World Cleaner” campaign in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city.

Participants at the program were leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors, Tu Son city, Farmers’ Union of districts, towns and cities, as well as a large number of officials and farmer members in Dong Nguyen ward.
Before the program, delegates took a minute to remember the people who lost their lives, and the officers and soldiers who died due to typhoon no. 3 and floods in the northern provinces recently.
The “Make the World Cleaner” campaign was initiated by Australia in 1993, launched globally by the United Nations Environment Programme and held annually in the third week of September. With the spirit of “Joining hands for a cleaner world”, the campaign continues to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection, aiming for sustainable development goals.
Responding to the 2024 “Make the World Cleaner” campaign, especially in the context that Bac Ninh province and other northern provinces are having suffered heavy damage caused by typhoon no. 3, including major environmental impacts, the Provincial Farmers’ Union launched and directed all levels of the Union to march and promote environmental awareness.
At the same time, the Union organized forums and seminars to introduce advanced models of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, use of environmentally friendly products and condemn acts of environmental pollution. It also actively participated in planting trees, cleaning rivers, lakes and fields, focusing on collecting and recovering products made from plastic, packaging, and hard-to-decompose nylon bags and transporting them to recycling and treatment sites according to regulations.
At the Program, the Provincial Farmers’ Union presented 10 gifts to poor farmers in difficult circumstances in Dong Nguyen ward.
After the launching ceremony, delegates, officials and farmers of Dong Nguyen ward planted trees in the grounds of Cam Giang communal house in Dong Nguyen ward. They collected waste from ponds and lakes, swept and collected waste in the ward, contributing to cleaning the environment.
