Provincial leaders offer incense at Hong An pagoda on occasion of Lim festival in Giap Thin Spring 2024
(BNP) - On February 21 (i.e., January 12), Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, and the provincial leaders offered incense at the Hong An pagoda and General Nguyen Dinh Dien’s mausoleum (Lim township, Tien Du district) on the occasion of the Lim festival in Giap Thin Spring 2024.

Joining the delegation were Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mrs. Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council.
Hong An pagoda (i.e., Lim pagoda) is a famous ancient pagoda and a gathering place for many tourists during the festival in the Lim region. This is also a place that marks an important historical record of the Party Committee and Bac Ninh’s people, where the Conference to establish the Indochina Communist Party Committee of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang Party took place in 1929.

The delegation also offered incense at General Nguyen Dinh Dien’s mausoleum (at Lim hill). He was a child of Noi Due commune, Tien Du district and made great contributions to the Le dynasty. He was awarded the title of Canh Trung Hau.
The provincial leaders respectfully expressed their gratitude to the predecessors for their contributions to the people and the country, especially preserving and promoting the beautiful traditional cultural features of the homeland. At the same time, they vowed to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity, boost the patriotic emulation movements and build Bac Ninh province to develop comprehensively and soon it will become a centrally-run city.

On the same day, the delegation visited the Nam Hong Royal Museum in Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city. The museum was established and has been in operation since 2019. Until now, the museum has preserved about 5,000 valuable cultural, artistic and historical artifacts. Some typical artifacts were the national treasure Dong Son cultural bronze jar and the golden seal “The Emperor's treasure” of the Nguyen dynasty.
