Provincial leaders offer incense on 103rd birthday anniversary of comrade Le Quang Dao

Provincial leaders offer incense at the monument of comrade Le Quang Dao (Tu Son City Park).

Attending the incense offering ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Permanent People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of the National Assembly Deputies; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations of the province; Tu Son city and relatives of comrade Le Quang Dao.

Comrade Le Quang Dao's birth name is Nguyen Duc Nguyen, born on August 8, 1921, in a patriotic family in Dinh Bang commune, Tu Son district (now Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city). He actively participated in patriotic activities in the youth movement since he was in school, having inherited the patriotic tradition of his family, clan, and cultural and revolutionary homeland. At the age of 19, he was admitted to the Indochina Communist Party.

Over 60 years of revolutionary activities, comrade Le Quang Dao has been entrusted with many important responsibilities by the Party, State and People: Secretary of the Party Committee of Bac Ninh province, Phuc Yen province; Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Deputy Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; Head of the Central Department of Science and Education in charge of mass mobilization work; Chairman of the National Assembly; Vice Chairman of the State Council; Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Regardless of his position, comrade Le Quang Dao worked to successfully complete assigned responsibilities, making an important contribution to the victory of the Vietnamese revolution through all stages. He completed his life gloriously and left behind a noble example of an exemplary communist, a true patriot, and an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh. He is forever the pride of our Party, our people and our homeland Bac Ninh.

Studying and following the example of comrade Le Quang Dao, the Party Committee and people of Bac Ninh province vow to promote revolutionary traditions, unite, overcome difficulties, promote patriotic emulation movements, successfully implement set goals and tasks, and build Bac Ninh province to become increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegation visited the House displaying documents and artifacts about comrade Le Quang Dao (Tu Son City Park) and the Memorial House (original relic) in Dinh Bang ward, Tu Son city.
