Provincial People's Committee approves 98 products to participate in OCOP Program in 2024

(BNP) - The Provincial People's Committee issued Decision approving the list of products participating in the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) Program of Bac Ninh province in 2024.

Decision to approve 98 products of 49 entities participating in the OCOP Program in 2024, in the fields of: food, foodstuffs, medicinal herbs, beverages, handicrafts, consumer goods...

Specifically, Que Vo town has 28 products of 8 entities; Thuan Thanh town has 24 products of 12 entities; Gia Binh district has 12 products of 06 entities; Luong Tai district has 12 products of 04 entities; Yen Phong district has 07 products of 05 entities; Bac Ninh city has 07 products of 04 entities; Tu Son city has 05 products of 04 entities; Tien Du district has 03 products of 02 entities.

The Provincial People's Committee also approved upgrading from 3 stars to 4 stars for 03 products (dishwashing sponge; loofah; loofah insole) of Anh Duong Kinh Bac - Kim Thap Trading and Service Company Limited, Nguyet Duc Commune, Thuan Thanh Town; renaming 2 products: Moxa incense and Cat Lat soapberry incense of Cat Cat Herbal Cooperative, Trung Chinh Commune, Luong Tai District.

The OCOP program of Bac Ninh province aims to develop forms of production and business organization to produce traditional products and service products with advantages that meet standards and are competitive in the domestic and international markets, thereby, contributing to the development of the rural economy in the direction of endogenous development and value addition.

Deployed since 2018, the OCOP Program has received the attention and response of all levels, sectors and subjects. It has aroused the potential and strengths of localities in terms of specialty products, craft villages associated with advantages in production conditions, raw material areas and traditional culture to increase product value; gradually contributing to changing the awareness and thinking of subjects participating in the Program. To date, the province has 174 OCOP products, of which 108 products achieved 3 stars, 66 products achieved 4 stars.
