Red River Delta Region Art Photography Festival opens
(BNP) - On August 26, at Kinh Bac Cultural Center, the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists jointly held the opening ceremony of the 24th Red River Delta Region Art Photography Festival.

Attending the festival were: Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; Mr. Ta Dang Doan, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Bac Ninh City Party Committee; Mr. Do Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Dong, President of Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
With the theme "Red River aspiration", this year's Festival received 1,883 works by 279 authors from 9 provinces and cities in the region including: Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen.
Through many rounds of selection, the jury selected 107 outstanding works to display.
Speaking at the Festival, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan informed about the socio-economic achievements of Bac Ninh province after more than 25 years of its re-establishment. At the same time, he wished that, through the Festival, Bac Ninh and the Red River Delta provinces could have cultural exchanges and exchange experiences in artistic photo creation activities.
At the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 01 Gold, 03 Silvers, 04 Bronzes and 06 Consolation prizes for excellent works and 02 Team Prizes. The winning works at the festival will be displayed at Kinh Bac Cultural Center (Bac Ninh city) from August 26 to August 31, 2022.
After the opening of the festival, the leaders and visitors exhibited the winning works at the festival.
On this occasion, 05 individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded the Medal "For the cause of Vietnam Photography".
