Removing difficulties in implementing BT projects in Thuan Thanh town and Tu Son city
(BNP) – On the morning of June 25, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects in culture, education and construction investment in the form of BT contracts in Thuan Thanh town and Tu Son city.
Overview of the conference.
According to a report from the Department of Planning and Investment, currently, Thuan Thanh town and Tu Son city have 6 investment projects in the form of BT in culture and education. Among them, Thuan Thanh town has 2 projects including Luy Lau Cultural Center (construction investment capital has been finalized and handed over for use); Monument to the heroic martyrs of Thuan Thanh town (construction completed, not yet finalized and handed over to the locality for use).
Tu Son city has 4 projects including Tu Son city sports center; an investment project to build traffic works, infrastructure for education, training, culture, sports and related services; the headquarters of state agencies in Huong Mac and Tam Son wards; investment project to build and renovate the Do temple relic site and Tieu Tuong River; an investment project to build the technical infrastructure of Dam temple cultural and tourist area, phase I.
Ongoing projects still have problems with site clearance and the policy of converting rice land. In addition, BT projects also encounter difficulties in counterpart projects (determining location, land price and site clearance work).
At the conference, delegates focused on exchanging, discussing, and proposing solutions to difficulties to speed up the implementation progress of each project, especially measures to speed up the progress of site clearance for BT and counterpart projects; proposing extension for feasible projects...
Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested Thuan Thanh town urgently guide investors to settle the project and implement the counterpart projects of the Luy Lau Cultural Center and the monument to the heroic martyrs in Thuan Thanh town.
With the Tu Son City Sports Center project, Tuan assigned the Tu Son City People's Committee to continue dialogue and mobilize households to receive compensation and support. Regarding the investment project to build technical infrastructure for the Dam temple cultural and tourist area, phase I, he assigned relevant departments and branches and the People's Committee of Tu Son city to review and add to the land-use planning of Tu Son city in 2024 so that the city would have a plan to adjust the conversion of rice land area accordingly.
For investment project to build traffic works, infrastructure for education, training, culture, sports and related services; headquarters of state agencies in Huong Mac and Tam Son wards, the Vice Chairman requested Tu Son City People's Committee, relevant departments and branches of the province, and the investor to soon complete dossiers and feasibility research reports. The investment project to build and renovate the Do Temple and Tieu Tuong River relics focuses on site clearance and speeding up its construction progress, he added.
He also noted that the People's Committee of Tu Son city proactively resolved difficulties and obstacles in project implementation. The process of implementing BT projects needs to be implemented in parallel with the resettlement project for households whose land was recovered and counterpart projects. The Department of Construction continues to review and evaluate investors' capacity, urges and checks construction progress monthly to complete projects as soon as possible.
