Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan works and discusses cooperation and investment promotion in China
(BNP) - From May 12-18, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies had a business trip to China to discuss cooperation and investment promotion in Bac Ninh province.

Joining the delegation were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Vu Minh Hieu, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.
On May 13, Bac Ninh province, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Shanghai and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Pudong – Shanghai branch jointly organized a Talk with the theme “Bac Ninh - Production base of foreign enterprises in Vietnam” in Shanghai to directly meet, exchange and promote investment with more than 300 Chinese enterprises.
Opening the Talk, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai confirmed that on the basis of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China that is developing increasingly well, Bac Ninh province focuses on promoting cooperation with Chinese investors, creating incentives, determination and efficiency in attracting investment in Bac Ninh. He hoped that Chinese businesses would continue to invest in the province to create greater success. The province commits to always accompanying and creating favorable conditions for businesses throughout the process of researching and investing in the province, he added.

After hearing introductions about the investment environment, preferential policies, and investment attraction of Bac Ninh and Vietnam, Chinese investors and businesses directly exchanged and asked questions about some contents related to land and factory rental incentives in Bac Ninh; administrative and legal procedures when businesses invest in Vietnam; priority industries attracting investment... In addition, Chinese businesses that have successfully invested in Bac Ninh province such as Goertek, Victory Giant Technology, Zhong Yi Feng, and Talway also directly shared their investment experiences.

Concluding the Talk, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh province is promoting investment in high-tech industry, smart manufacturing, and semiconductors; biomedical; 5G and 6G equipment. The province also welcomes Chinese investors who are interested in investing in it, joining hands with Bac Ninh to bring good benefits to both sides, he noted. Bac Ninh province commits that “The businesses’ success is the province’ success and the difficulties and failures of businesses are also the difficulties and failures of the province”.
The Secretary also respectfully invited Chinese businesses and investors to arrange time to visit Bac Ninh – Kinh Bac land so that they can explore and research a long-standing academic tradition and culture, combined with the continuous development of modern industry and the presence of many world brands to choose Bac Ninh as their investment destination.
After the Talk, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding and land lease contract took place between Bac Ninh industrial park infrastructure investors and 10 Chinese enterprises: Zhong Yi Feng Group; SLP Company; Micro Commercial Components Vietnam Company Limited; Cayi Technology Vietnam Company Limited; Hong Kong Jing Yutian International Co., Ltd.; AAC Technologies; Green Precision Components; Aohai Technology; Liando Investment Group, Shenzhen Incham Industrial Operation Co., Ltd. and awarded the Investment Certificate to Talway Group's project with a total investment attraction value of nearly USD 700 million.

On May 14, the delegation visited and worked with the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. Secretary Tuan said that Bac Ninh province is focusing on implementing overall solutions with the goal of meeting class-1 urban criteria, as a premise for building the province to become a centrally-run city, cultural and ecological city, towards a knowledge economy, smart and regional urban area... Therefore, the province needs huge resources to improve its infrastructure.
He assessed that this is a suitable model for Bac Ninh to study and apply to the construction of urban planning and development, attracting infrastructure and socio-economic investment in the province in the coming time.

On May 15, the delegation visited the Weifang City Museum of Ethnology to understand the formation and development of the city in Shandong province. At the same time, the delegation had a working session and witnessed the cooperation signing ceremony between Bac Ninh city and Weifang city. The two sides discussed cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science and technology, education, culture, and tourism, contributing to opening up much new cooperation between the two localities in various fields.
On May 16, the delegation worked with Weifang City Planning Department and Weichai Power Co., Ltd., which was founded in 1946 and headquartered in Weifang city. The company has a global workforce of more than 100,000 employees and annual revenue of over USD 300 billion. In addition to diesel engines, it also produces many other types of products such as: commercial vehicles, transmission systems, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, smart logistics and marine mobility, etc.

Appreciating Weichai's capabilities in designing and manufacturing diesel engines, construction machinery and smart logistics products, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that this is also the field that Bac Ninh province is interested in attracting investment in the coming time. He hoped that the Company would research and choose Bac Ninh as an investment destination in the future.
On the same day, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation visited and worked with Goertek Group, which has invested in Bac Ninh province since 2013 with a total investment capital of more than USD 1.3 billion.

At the working session, the delegation and Goertek Group discussed cooperation and investment between the two sides; considered supporting the solution of difficulties proposed by the Group in terms of training high-quality workers, dormitory housing, and researched as well as proposed opening a direct flight from Qingdao to Noi Bai airport.

Expressing his admiration for the achievements that Goertek Group has built and achieved, the Secretary emphasized the close relationship and support between Bac Ninh province and Goertek Group. He hoped that the Group would continue to develop and become an exemplary investor in business, services, science and technology development.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan worked and directly discussed with Mr. Pham Sao Mai, Vietnamese Ambassador to China and Mr. Nguyen The Tung, Vietnamese Consul General in Shanghai to brief on the province’s socio-economic situation and their working program in China. The Secretary requested the Ambassador and Consul General to continue supporting the province, serving as a bridge to promote and encourage Chinese businesses to invest in Bac Ninh. At the same time, they will support the province in implementing information exchange, promoting unique cultural values, heritage sites, and famous tourist destinations to the Chinese people; especially advocating and promoting Dong Ho folk painting craft to be recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in need of urgent protection, he stressed.
On May 18, the delegation successfully ended its business trip in China.
