The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly supervises in Bac Ninh province

For the past years, Bac Ninh province has had a fast pace of socio-economic development, especially attracting foreign direct investment. The province has now nearly 1,000 active FDI enterprises, with a total investment capital of USD 17.5 billion, and more than 4,300 foreigners working and living in the province. From January 1, 2015, to February 25, 2019, the provincial Public Security granted temporary residence cards for 10,182 foreigners; received and managed 246,003 turns of foreigners reporting temporary residence.

The Provincial People's Committee has strictly and effectively implemented policies and laws related to the management of foreigners in the province. In particular, the province focuses on propaganda and dissemination of legal policies on management of foreigners to all levels, sectors, localities, businesses, and foreigners; pays attention to support and create favorable conditions for foreigners in work and life in the province, contributing positively to the province's socio-economic development.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Nguyen Van Giau expressed his impression of the socio-economic development results of Bac Ninh in recent years with many targets in the top of the country. Proposals, solutions as well as frank exchange during the working session were basics for the delegation to continue researching, analyzing and advising the National Assembly to issue policies on management of foreigners in Vietnam accordingly.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, thanked the Foreign Affairs Committee for visiting and working in the province. It was considered an opportunity for Bac Ninh to recognize and evaluate the achievements, difficulties, and obstacles, propose solutions to contribute to the effective implementation of state management for foreigners in the province. At the same time, Bac Ninh leader hoped to continue to receive the attention and support of the National Assembly and the National Assembly's Committees to fulfill socio-economic development tasks and become a centrally-run city by 2022.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee supervised the implementation of legal policies in the management of foreigners at GoerTek VINA Co., Ltd. and Hanwha Techwin Security Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Que Vo industrial park).
