4th conference on honoring outstanding families, clans, communities and learning units held
(BNP) – On the morning of November 26, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education held the 4th conference on honoring outstanding families, clans, communities and learning units in the period of 2019 - 2024 at Kinh Bac Cultural Center (Bac Ninh city).

Attending the conference were Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education (VAPE); representatives from provincial departments, branches and sectors; typical families, clans, communities and learning units in the province.
In the period of 2019 - 2024, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education has strengthened propaganda work on the role and position of families and clans in society, awakening the tradition of promoting learning in each family, clan, community, and hometown in the work of promoting learning, talent, and building a learning society.
Up to now, the province has 542,467 members of the Association for Promoting Education; more than 274,000 families have achieved the title of "Learning Family", reaching 81.31%; more than 4,600 clans have achieved the title of "Learning Clan", reaching 74.75%; 696 units have achieved the title of "Learning Unit", reaching 98.99%; 654 communities have achieved the title of "Learning Community", reaching 88.02%. As of October 2024, the province's Education Promotion Fund has gained VND 185.6 billion, an increase of VND 125 billion compared to 2018. Notably, in the past 5 years, 8/8 district-level Education Promotion Funds have been established with billions of VND.
Typical examples include the typical families that overcome difficulties to raise good and studious children, such as Mr. Nguyen Huu Duong's family in Dong Tho commune (Yen Phong district), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa's family in Dai Dong commune (Tien Du district); typical clans include the Duong family in Chau Khe ward (Tu Son city); the Le Nho family in Hoai Thuong commune (Thuan Thanh town); typical learning communities include the Chi Trung village community in Tan Chi commune (Tien Du district); the Phu Man village community in Cho township (Yen Phong district); the Thua township community (Luong Tai district), etc.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi commended and acknowledged the results and achievements of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education and all levels of the association in the past time.
In the coming time, the Vice Chairman requested the Provincial Association for Promoting Education to continue to seriously and deeply grasp the viewpoints and policies of the Party, policies and laws of the State, and the province's guiding documents on the tasks of promoting education, promoting talents, and building a learning society as well as responding to and effectively implementing the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promoting lifelong learning in the period of 2023-2030" launched by the Prime Minister.
At the conference, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education was honored to receive the Emulation Flag of the Government; the Provincial Association for Promoting Education, Tu Son City Association for Promoting Education, and Que Vo Town Association for Promoting Education received the Emulation Flag of the VAPE.
Many individuals who have contributed to the cause of promoting learning, talent and building a learning society have received the Medal "For the cause of promoting learning"; many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements have received Certificates of Merit from the VAPE, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promoting Education.
