7th Bac Ninh Television Cup Badminton and Tennis Championship in 2023 opens

Attending and encouraging the athletes were Mr. Nguyen Sy, former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial Tennis Federation; Mr. Trinh Huu Hung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee; leaders of the Provincial Radio and Television Station and Office of the Provincial People's Committee.

This year's tournament attracted 54 teams with more than 600 athletes from departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns, cities, enterprises and units located in the province.

In Badminton, athletes compete in two contents: Championship and Family. In particular, the championship content is divided into 08 age groups, including 13 years old and under; 14 to 15 years old; 16 to 18 years old; 19 to 30 years old; 31 to 40 years old; 41 to 50 years old; 51 to 55 years old and 56 years old or older, competing in the following contents: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

For family content, competitions are organized for married couples in 03 age groups: 40 years old and under; 41 to 50 years old and 51 years old or older.

In Tennis, 03 contents are organized: Championship, Family and for foreigners. In particular, the championship content includes 05 contents: men's singles, men's doubles (04 age groups), women's singles, women's doubles (18 years old and above), and mixed doubles (regardless of age group).

For family content, competitions are organized for married couples, regardless of age group. The content for foreigners was organized for men's doubles competition regardless of age group or nationality. 

According to the plan, the 7th Bac Ninh Television Cup Badminton and Tennis Championship in 2023 will take place from November 18 - 20.

The tournament aims to promote the campaign "All people exercise their bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho" and deeply boost the movement of physical training and sports to a large number of people from all walks of life. At the same time, it has practical significance in implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TU dated August 29, 2022 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on building and developing the culture and people of Bac Ninh until 2030 as well as meeting the requirements of sustainable development.

After the Opening Ceremony, Badminton and Tennis matches took place in each content.
