Bac Ninh wins first prize of whole team in classical wrestling at National Championship of Young Freestyle and Classical Wrestling in 2022

Bac Ninh athlete receives  the gold medal.

The tournament attracted more than 200 athletes from 20 provinces, cities and industries across the country. Athletes compete in 3 events including: Classical wrestling, men's freestyle, women's freestyle, with 33 weight classes.

Bac Ninh wrestling team included 14 athletes, competing in all 3 events.

At the end of the tournament, in classical wrestling, the first prize belonged to the Bac Ninh team, the second prize belonged to the Army team, and the Hanoi team won the third prize. In the women's freestyle event, the first prize of the whole team went to the Hanoi team, the second prize of the Army team, the Thanh Hoa team won the third prize. In the men's freestyle event, the first prize went to the Hanoi team, the second prize of the Army team, and the third prize of the Hai Phong team.

Bac Ninh team won 06 Golds, 3 Silvers, 2 Bronze medals. Of which, 06 gold medals belong to athletes: Nguyen Trong Quang (50kg), Ngo Van Nam (60kg), Vu Dinh Quang (72kg), Tran Hoai Nam (87kg), Nguyen The Hieu (97kg), and Han Van Dung (130kg).

The National Championship of Young Freestyle and Classical Wrestling are held annually to evaluate the quality of the training and coaching of athletes of the provinces, cities and branches. On the other hand, it is also an opportunity for young athletes to compete, exchange, learn and accumulate experience to improve their performance as well as help professional agencies review their forces to select excellent athletes to add to the national team.
