Phu Lam Flower and Bonsai

Phu Lam commune is now very famous for growing flowers and bonsais, mainly concentrated in Gioi Te hamlet. The profession of growing flowers and bonsais in Gioi Te was established in early 1990s to replace the profession of making blinds before. Up to now, Gioi Te flowers and bonsai have become a brand known to many people inside and outside the province. Initially, there were 20 households in the hamlet working as a profession, realizing the effectiveness brought about by growing flowers and bonsais, now there are over 600 households took part in, accounting over half of the households in the hamlet. The profession on growing flowers and bonsai brings about high economic value, creating jobs for thousands of inside and outside local laborers.

In recent year, when the economy develops, more and more increasing the demand for using flowers, decorative bonsais to create green space, feng shui for houses, workplaces… Grasping this trends, Gioi Te people have boldly expanded their productive land area, invested in a met house system to diversify type of flowers, bonsais, and shade trees with many different designs, types and sizes in accordance customer’s tastes. In Gioi Te nowadays, there are many kinds of high economic value flowers and bonsais with such as wild orchids, phalaenopsis, lilies, barringtonias, ficus benjaminas, Chinese bnyans, figs and other shade trees for the garden, traffic road.
