(BNP) - In the morning of August 31, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang visited some typical agricultural production models in Gia Binh district.

Joining the delegation were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; leaders of provincial departments and sectors and Gia Binh district.
Giang and the delegation visited Binh Duong clean agricultural trade-service cooperative (Binh Duong commune); Xuan Mai General Service Cooperative (Nhan Thang commune) and Viet Ket Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Thai Bao commune) in Gia Binh district.
Established in 2019, Binh Duong Clean Agricultural Trade-Service Cooperative specializes in growing black grapes and all kinds of guava, jackfruit, papaya... on a total area of 6.7ha. The entire production process is applied high technology and ensured food hygiene and safety standards. The cooperative is granted a certificate of production facility according to VietGAP standards. In 2021, the total output is expected to reach 250 tons of all kinds of fruits.
Established in 2019, Xuan Mai General Service Cooperative has now expanded its production area to 2 hectares to build 2 membrane houses with a scale of 5,250m2 specializing in growing baby cucumbers and a pre-processing and packing workshop with a total cost of about VND 3 billion. The cooperative applied a production process meeting VietGAP standards. Currently, the cooperative supplies over 10 tons of baby cucumbers/month to supermarkets in and outside the province.
Viet Ket Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd specializes in manufacturing locust bean shampoos, mouthwashes extracted from locusts... with about 15 main products, creating jobs for 10 workers, average income from 4.5 - 5 million VND/person/month. In 2021, the Company registers 8 products to participate in the Provincial OCOP Program.
The representatives from cooperatives and enterprises thanked for the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels in supporting and creating conditions for the effective development of agricultural production over the past time.
Giang praised and highly valued the achievements of the cooperatives and enterprises during the past time. Various mechanisms and policies have been issued to encourage and support enterprises, cooperatives and people, she added.
She hoped that cooperatives and enterprises continue to expand their scale, promote the application of high technology and safe production processes, build a brand of agricultural products, form a chain of links in production, consumption and actively participate in the Provincial OCOP Program, thereby, improving the quality of agricultural products, meeting the needs of consumers for clean food, contributing to the drastic transformation of the local agricultural economic structure.
