Chairwoman of Bac Ninh Province People’s Committee receives Bac Ninh Association of fellow-countrymen in the Czech Republic

(BNP) - In the afternoon of February 17, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang received Bac Ninh Association of fellow-countrymen in the Czech Republic led by Mr. Dang Dinh Thinh – Chairman of Association.

At the reception, Chairwoman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang announced the outstanding achievements of Bac Ninh’s Party Committee and people in 2019 to the Delegation. Accordingly, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 1.1%; GRDP per capita reached USD 6,163, ranking 2nd nationwide; industrial production value reached VND 1.07 million (at 2010 constant price); State budget revenue was estimated at VND 30,431 billion, up 8.4% compared to 2018… Bac Ninh is also one of the largest FDI attracting provinces in the country with 1,000 businesses, which come from 33 nations and territory. Along with economic development, the province particularly interested in investing in the fields of education, health, culture, society and especially environment protection; conserving and promoting the cultural and historical value...

The Chairwoman hoped that Bac Ninh Association of fellow-countrymen would continue to unite and promote the homeland’s tradition of culture and revolution as well as actively introduce and advertise the environmental investment, cultural identity of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac to enterprises and residential community in the Czech Republic, contributing to the cause of building and developing Bac Ninh province more and more civilized and modern.

On behalf of the Delegation, Mr. Dang Dinh Thinh thanked the Chairwoman for taking the time to welcome and share the activities of the Association in the Czech Republic. Accordingly, Kinh Bac Association of fellow-countrymen in the Czech Republic now has nearly 100 thousand members in who are Bac Ninh people living and studying in the Czech Republic. Association frequently visits, cares and helps the members and Overseas Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic; organizes annual activities such as Cultural Summer Camp with the aim of connecting Bac Ninh’s generations, educate the younger generation to preserve and promote the tradition and culture of Kinh Bac homeland, especially Quan ho folksong.

In the coming time, the Association will connect closely to the associations of other provinces in the Czech Republic as well as Bac Ninh Associations of fellow-countrymen in Germany and Poland… to maintain, develop and continues to educate the tradition the cultural identity for the young generation in Bac Ninh community in the Czech Republic, introduce and promote the image of the homeland to the international friends. It also wished, in the future, the province will organize many significant activities to more closely connect the loves of Bac Ninh people in the Czech Republic to Kinh Bac homeland.
