Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee visits and gives gifts to elderly people in Yen Phong district

(BNP) - On September 28, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung visited and presented gifts to the elderly in Yen Phong district on the occasion of 30th anniversary of the International Day of the Older Persons (October 1, 1991 – 2021).

Chung presented gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoi (106 years old), in Nghiem Xa hamlet, Cho township and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tai (103 years old), in Phu Luu hamlet, Trung Nghia commune. This is one of the typical elderly people in local campaigns and emulation movements.

At the visit, Chung affirmed that the elderly always plays an important role in social life. Over the years, the Party, State and province paid attention to well-perform the work of caring for and creating conditions for the elderly.

She hoped that the two elderly people in particular and the elderly in the district in general continue to promote the role of the elderly in educating their children to study and follow, especially becoming a bridge of solidarity in the community.
