The unique feature of Xuan Lai bamboo crafting village is the material. From the late 1990s, Xuan Lai bamboo craft village developed with many new unique art products such as: “Danh Ghen”, “Hung Dua”, “Dau Vat”, “Dam Cuoi Chuot”, “Tung-Cuc-Truc-Mai”,… is shown on the natural material that is traditional bamboo. Bamboo painting products are continously creatived to meet the increasing demand of the market. Beside the folk paintings, ink paitings (China), portrayed on paintings by artans.

In 2014, Xuan Lai bamboo and rattan craft village was recognized by Bac Ninh Provincial People Committee as a traditional craft village. In 2016, the bamboo craft profession here was recognized as the National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Cultural – Sports and Tourism.

Curently, bamboo paintings are becoming a favorite valued high-quality product line in the market are popular by domestic and foreign tourists, exported to France, Russia, Thailand, Korea, Japan…
