Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy honored to be one of 10 outstanding Vietnamese young faces in 2023

(BNP) - On March 23, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund has announced 10 outstanding Vietnamese young faces 2023 who have made remarkable performances in various fields. Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy, Deputy Head of the Head and Neck Surgery Department, K Hospital (from Chau Khe ward, Tu Son city), is honored to be one of 10 outstanding Vietnamese young faces in 2023.


Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy award a symbolic trophy and a Certificate of Merit to Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy.

Mrs. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Member of the Party Central Committee and Acting President attended and awarded prizes at the ceremony.

Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy, 35 years old, is currently Deputy Head of the Head and Neck Surgery Department at K Hospital. He has made great achievements and contributions to medical thyroid treatment with the first report in Southeast Asia, which demonstrates successfully the technique of robotic thyroidectomy through the oral vestibular in the treatment of thyroid cancer. This is a milestone marking the development of the surgical specialty in general, as well as thyroid surgery in particular in Vietnam. In addition, he is the author of many outstanding scientific studies.

With his outstanding achievements, Dr. Ngo Quoc Duy won a series of milestones such as the 2023 Golden Globe Award; Creative Youth Badge; Badge of Advanced Youth following Uncle Ho’s words; Excellent Award at the 11th Youth Science and Technology Conference; Dang Van Ngu Award in the category of “Outstanding Young Researcher 2022” from Hanoi Medical University; global fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery and oncology from the World Head and Neck Cancer Association in 2022.

The “Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces” Award is the highest award of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with the aim of honoring typical young people with outstanding achievements, creating a wide spread in the community about their efforts and striving to excel in the fields of study, scientific research, physical education, sports, production labor, national defense, etc.

The award is presented annually on the occasion of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26) and announced on mass media. In recent years, the quality of award nominations has increasingly improved. The award is increasingly widespread, attracting the attention of many organizations, units and individuals inside and outside the country.
