Former student of Bac Ninh High School for Gifted is one of 9 promising Vietnamese young faces in 2023
(BNP) - The Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union just announced the recognition of 10 outstanding Vietnamese young faces and 9 promising Vietnamese young faces in 2023. They are typical examples with impressive achievements, strongly inspiring young people and the society.

In addition to 10 outstanding Vietnamese young faces, the Council also selected 9 promising Vietnamese young faces in each field. Among them, Bac Ninh province has Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phong, a former Physics student in 2020-2023 academic year of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted. He is included on the list of 9 promising Vietnamese young faces.
Among 20 nominees for the outstanding Vietnamese young faces in 2023, Nguyen Tuan Phong entered the online voting round for the award of outstanding individuals representing the country.
Phong currently is a student at Hanoi Polytechnic University. When he was still a student at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, he excellently won the Gold Medal in the 2023 International Physics Olympiad; the Bronze Medal in the 2023 Asian Physics Olympiad; First prize in the 2023 National Exam for Selecting Excellent Students in Physics; Silver Medal in the 2022 European Physics Olympiad and so on. Especially, he was honored to be awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal in 2023 by the President.
This is an award to honor typical examples with outstanding achievements, widely spreading their efforts and striving to excel in all fields in the community. Therefore, it creates motivation to develop young talents, promotes the emulation movement of learning, training, scientific research, labor, and creativity, etc.
The awarding ceremony for outstanding and promising Vietnamese young faces is scheduled to take place on the evening of March 23, 2024 in Hanoi.
