Ground-breaking ceremony to construct Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital
(BNP) - In the morning of February 9, the Department of Construction held a groundbreaking ceremony to construct the expanded Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital for more 300 beds.

Participants at the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Dao Hong Lan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee through the periods; members of Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Permanent People's Council; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Deputies; leaders of departments and branches of the province and Bac Ninh city.
Covering on an area of 2.2ha, the project to expand Bac Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital with a scale of 300 beds is invested by the Project Management Board of Construction Investment of civil and industrial projects, with total investment capital of more than VND 491 billion.
The project includes 02 blocks: a general building one with a floor area of about 30,597 m2 and the 3-storey building for infectious treatment with the floor area of about 2,681 m2.
Speaking at ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai acknowledged and praised the efforts of the investor and relevant units in the completion of the project’s procedures. He also affirmed that the construction of the expanded Hospital bears an important and practical meaning to celebrate the 190th anniversary of establishment and 25 years of re-establishment of the province.
Khai asked the Department of Construction to direct the investor to speed up the construction as well as tighten the inspection, supervision and quality management of the project to promptly remove obstacles in the construction process.
The contractors maximize human resources, materials and equipment as well as control the construction in accordance with the process and technical regulations, quality assurance and safety, Khai added.
The Vice Chairman also required the Department of Health and Bac Ninh city to create the most favorable conditions for the contractor to execute the construction on schedule; the Department of Health directs the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to make a plan for developing the qualified doctors.
