Head of Ho Chi Minh City Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Thien Nhan visits and works in Bac Ninh

(BNP) - Politburo member and Head of the Ho Chi Minh City delegation of National Assembly deputies Nguyen Thien Nhan on November 14 visited and worked in Bac Ninh province. Joining the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The provincial leaders present products of traditional craft villages to Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of PPC, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of PPC, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Provincial People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front; leaders of a number of related branches.

At the meeting, Secretary Dao Hong Lan briefed on the province’s socio-economic development in the past years with many targets at the top of the country. She highlighted the successful organization of the 20th Communist Party Congress of Bac Ninh province, term 2020 - 2025 as well as the realization of "dual tasks" of both promoting socio-economic development and fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the coming time, she hoped for the continued attention from Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan as well as central ministries and branches so that the province would successfully complete its set targets and plans, thus becoming a centrally-run city.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan congratulated on the provincial Communist Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, creating a new spirit and resilience in the next period. At the same time, he pointed out that Bac Ninh needed to increase the localization rate of products; speed up urban infrastructure together with environmental protection, supply clean water and upgrade transport network towards a smart city model, creating a premise for Bac Ninh to become a centrally-run city in the near future.
