Lao Cai delegation visits and learns experiences in Bac Ninh

(BNP) - On October 5, a elegation led by Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee of Lao Cai province visited and learned experiences in the development of industrial zones and clusters and logistics in Bac Ninh province.

Receiving and working with the Delegation were Mr. Dao Quang Khai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of related departments, branches and localities.

Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai welcomed the Lao Cai delegation to visit and learn experiences in the province, and at the same time, briefly introduced the province's socio-economic development over the past time with many indicators in the top of the country. Up to now, Bac Ninh has become an industrial center, attracting more than 1,700 FDI projects with a total investment capital of about USD 23 billion from 39 countries and territories, focusing mainly on the processing industry.

Khai affirmed that to achieve these results, Bac Ninh makes good use of its advantages in terms of geographical location, culture, and people as well as select an experienced and capable investor, especially the drastic participation and companionship of the provincial leaders with investors. He hoped that Lao Cai province would make good use of the local strengths to create breakthrough in industrial development in the coming time.

At the meeting, leaders of functional departments and branches exchanged and clarified the issues that Lao Cai delegation interest such as: planning of industrial parks, logistics centers; preferential policies of investment attraction; investor selection orientation; organizational model and structure of the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority; social housing development, etc.

Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong thanked the provincial leaders for spending their time to welcome the delegation. He affirmed that Bac Ninh is one of the models of industrial development with many big investors from countries around the world. The ideas shared at the meeting will be valuable experiences for Lao Cai province, thereby, contributing to promoting industrial development, attracting labor resources, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
