More than 1,600 union members, young people, and students participate in "Red Sunday" blood donation program in 2024

(BNP) - On the morning of February 26, at Bac Ninh College of Electromechanics and Construction, the Provincial Youth Union, Tien Phong Newspaper, and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion jointly organized the 16th "Red Sunday" blood donation program in 2024 with the theme "Donating blood to save lives - Your life and mine".


Leaders encourage the youth and students to participate in blood donation.

Attending the Program were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, the Provincial Youth Union, the Tien Phong Newspaper and a number of related departments, sectors and branches along with a large number of union members, youths and students throughout the province.

“Red Sunday” is a voluntary blood donation program initiated by Tien Phong Newspaper and coordinated with organizing units every year. From a small blood donation event, after 16 years of organization and development, it has now become a large volunteer movement throughout the country.

2024 is the 9th consecutive year that the Standing Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Tien Phong Newspaper and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion has organized the "Red Sunday" blood donation program that attracts the participation of more than 1,600 youth members and students throughout the province. It is expected to receive more than 600 units of blood.

On this occasion, Tien Phong Newspaper awarded the logo to express gratitude for the companionship of individuals and coordinating units; 13 individuals with outstanding achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Red Cross Association; 03 groups were awarded Companion Unit Certificates by the Organizing Committee of the 2024 "Red Sunday" Program.
