53rd UPU International Letter-Writing Competition launches
(BNP) - On the afternoon of February 23, the Provincial Steering Committee for UPU International Letter-Writing Competition (Steering Committee) held a conference to summarize and award prizes for the 52nd UPU International Letter Writing Competition in 2023 and launch the 53rd UPU International Letter-Writing Competition in 2024

The 53rd UPU International Letter-Writing Competition 2024 has the theme: "At 150 years old, the UPU has served people around the world for more than eight generations. The world has changed enormously since then. Write a letter to future generations about the world you hope they inherit."
This year's contest theme is associated with the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (1874–2024). This is an opportunity for students to develop their writing skills, approach and perceive social and era issues, and express their thoughts on these issues; foster and nurture the young generation's feelings and responsibility towards society, country, and the world as well as understand more about the role of the postal sector in life and social development.
Contest participants continue to be Vietnamese students from 9 to 15 years old, as of the time of sending letters to participate in the contest. The contest letter is the student's personal creative product, written in prose according to the contest's theme (not yet published in newspapers or books), no longer than 800 words. Contest entries need to be placed in a postage stamped envelope, clearly stating the sender's address to Tien Phong Tien Phong and Children Newspaper via the post office system of Vietnam Post Corporation - Vietnam Post within the deadline. period from January 5, 1 to March 2024, 15.
Bac Ninh province is a locality with a tradition of participating in the UPU Contest with a large number of entries, rated high quality, and many consecutive years of winning prizes. At the 52nd UPU Letter-Writing Competition, Bac Ninh province had nearly 141,000 entries sent to the organizing committee, including one third prize, two consolation prizes, and two promising writer prizes.
On this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 17 individuals and 10 groups who achieved achievements in the 52nd UPU International Letter- Writing Competition in 2023.
