More than 2,000 people attend “Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Bloodlines” program

(BNP) – In the morning of July 21st, the Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize “Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Bloodlines” program at Kinh Bac Cultural Center.

Provincial leaders took a photo with the Delegation of Red Journey.

Attending the Program were Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation; leaders of Vietnam Red Cross Society, National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion along with provincial departments, branches, sectors and more than 2,000 cadres, civil servants, workers, students, armed forces and people from all strata.
 
Through 4 years of implementation, the "Red Journey" program with the message "Connecting Vietnamese Bloodlines" has held in 43 provinces and cities nationwide and received 74,965 blood units.
 
This year, the program would take place from July 1st to July 31st, 2017 and travel through 28 provinces and cities nationwide. It is expected that the program will receive about 25,000 blood units.
 
At the campaign, more than 2,000 cadres, civil servants, , laborers, students, armed forces and people from all strata participated in the blood donation registration and collected about 1,700 blood units of.
 
On this occasion, the Steering Committee of Voluntary Blood Donation honored 71 typical individuals with outstanding achievements in the provincial voluntary blood donation in 2012- 2017 period.
