Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong visits and presents gifts to Nourishing Center for Maritorious people and Social Protection of Bac Giang province

(BNP) – On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27th, 1947 – 2017), Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phong visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers who are treated at Nourishing Center for Maritorious people and Social Protection of Bac Giang province (Que Nam commune, Tan Yen district).

Joining the Delegation were leaders of Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Veterans Association, Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.
 
Nourishing Center for Maritorious people and Social Protection of Bac Giang province was a public service unit under Bac Giang Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and located in Que Nham commune, Tan Yen district. Currently, the Center cares for and treats 19 heavy wounded soldiers of 4 provinces (Ha Noi, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang). Among which, there were 6 patients from Bac Ninh province.

On behalf of provincial leader, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong expressed his sincerity and deep gratitude to great contribution of wounded and sick soldiers in the nation’s resistance for independence. He hoped that wounded and sick soldiers continue preserving and promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", following Uncle Ho’s teaching "disabled, but not useless" to overcome all difficulties in their life.
 
He acknowledged service spirit of medical staff and soldiers of the Center. He further urged functional agencies of Bac Giang province to continue their attention and support so that the Center would better care and treat wounded and sick soldiers as well as effectively implement regimes and policies for wounded, sick soldiers and beneficiary families in the province.

On behalf of Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee and Provincial Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong presented gifts to Nourishing Center for Maritorious people and Social Protection of Bac Giang province and 6 patients of Bac Ninh province.
