More than 300 athletes participate in 2023 Bac Ninh Provincial Chess, Chinese Chess and Table Tennis Championships

This year's tournament attracted more than 300 athletes from 08 districts, towns, and cities along with units including Provincial Public Security, Banking Academy - Bac Ninh branch, Bac Ninh Teacher Training College and Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Phong Industrial Park).

Athletes competed in three subjects including chess, Chinese chess, and table tennis. Specifically, the Chess competed in the contents of individual men's and women's in age groups from 6-year-old and up competed in the Chess. Chinese Chess competed in the content of men's individual team scoring event for athletes 16-year-old and up.

Table tennis competed in contents of men's and women’s singles, men's and women’s doubles, men's - women's doubles, and men's teams at the following ages: From 30-year-old and under, from 31 to 40-year-old, from 41 to 50-year-old and from 51-year-old and up. Athletes are divided into round-robin groups, selecting excellent athletes to advance to the next round.

The 2023 Provincial Chess, Chinese Chess and Table Tennis Championship is a practical activity to continue promoting the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” in Bac Ninh province in the period 2021 - 2030. At the same time, it also aims to widely promote the movement of practicing and competing in sports, especially Chess, Chinese Chess, and Table Tennis among children and all strata of people, thereby helping to select excellent athletes for the Provincial sports.

According to plan, the tournament takes place in 3 days from October 7 - 9, 2023. At the end of the Tournament, the Organizing Committee will award First, Second, Third Team Prizes, medals and rewards to athletes in each competing content and age group.
