More than 5,000 youth union members support recovery from typhoon no. 3
(BNP) – From the afternoon of September 7, 2024, in response to the impact of typhoon no. 3 (typhoon Yagi) and promoting the youth spirit, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union directed the Standing Committees of Youth Unions in districts, towns and cities to establish 126 rapid response teams at all levels, ready to participate in responding to and supporting the overcoming of consequences caused by the typhoon.

On September 8, 2024, the province mobilized and established 422 youth volunteer teams and groups with more than 5,200 members to participate in supporting the recovery of consequences after typhoon no. 3 on 1,642 roads; 472 schools; collecting and transporting 6,959 fallen trees and many billboards and corrugated iron roofs damaged after the typhoon.

At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union established 8 delegations led by the Standing Committee, leaders of the Departments and units to directly go to the localities to grasp the situation and mobilize the forces to participate in supporting the recovery of the consequences of typhoon no. 3 in the localities.

On September 9, 2024, youth volunteer teams continued to cooperate with departments, sectors, and localities to support schools in the province to urgently overcome the consequences, ensuring conditions for students to go to school safely on September 10, 2024.
