On behalf of the provincial leaders, Secretary Dao Hong Lan quickly reported on the epidemic situation in Bac Ninh province. As of May 29, 765 people were confirmed positive with SARS-CoV-2 in all eight districts, town and city with 138 outbreaks, among which, 106 F0 cases were workers of 32 enterprises in Industrial Parks (IPs). According to the assessment of the Ministry of Health, the epidemic situation is basically under control while maintaining production, but warned that the risk of further infections remains high.
In the context, Bac Ninh has been taken many urgent measures to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. The Provincial People's Committee urgently completed response scenarios for each level of epidemic, actively activated the epidemic prevention and control system from the province to the grassroots; an Information Analysis Team was established… Up to now, there have been 10,000 establishments making QR codes; 39% of people install Bluezone; 70% of the people take medical declaration.
During a working session, Chinh stated that the province managed to overcome the challenges with creative measures to contain the epidemic. He reiterated that the difficulties should be regarded as motivation for growth.
According to PM Chinh, Bac Ninh is still facing a high risk as it hosts a large number of workers at local industrial parks and has a high population density, therefore it needs to strictly comply with the head of government’s instructions made at an earlier national conference. He asked the province to consider expanding social distancing measures in areas with higher risks while accelerating testing as the key to detecting new infections and keeping the virus at bay.
He also called for better organization of workers at factories and manufacturing facilities under quarantine, and replication of effective quarantine models with the participation of enterprises. The management of industrial parks and enterprise owners must share the responsibility and collaborate with the local authorities in preventing the spread of Covid-19, he added.
The Prime Minister further asked the province to strengthen disease prevention measures on a larger scale, consider imposing social distancing in industrial parks and areas neighboring Bac Giang province, accelerate testing on workers in industrial parks and high-risk areas, and promote the role of the health care system at the grassroots level.
