Provincial People’s Committee holds a meeting to prepare for Cherry Blossom Exhibition in Bac Ninh

(BNP) – In the afternoon of March 14th, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phong had a working session with Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC) to discuss cooperation contents in organizing Cherry Blossom Exhibition in Bac Ninh 2017. Attending the meeting were representatives from relevant departments and sectors and Bac Ninh city.

The Cherry Blossom Exhibition would take place at Kinh Bac Culture Center from 21st to 25th March, 2017, including major activities: Displaying 20 cherry blossom trees and 5,000 branches, which would be shipped from Japan; meeting Japanese enterprises in Bac Ninh; introducing culture, the land and people of Kinh Bac through an art performance.
 
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phong highly appreciated the good and comprehensive relationship in cooperation between Vietnam and Japan through many decades. Currently, Japan ranked forth in international investors into Vietnam, ranked second in Bacninh with more than 70 enterprises and total investment capital nearly 1.3 billion USD.
 
For the Exhibition and art performance, he assigned Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to play the main role and cooperate with AIC in making plan provided that it could bring into play particularly cultural and traditional value of Bac Ninh – Kinh Bac.
 
He also assigned Department of Planning and Investment to cooperate with AIC to build up and unify the final content of Meeting Japanese enterprises in Bac Ninh program. Besides, other departments would cooperate with AIC to prepare all alternative situtations for ensuring a successful Cherry Blossom Exhibition in Bac Ninh under their functions and tasks.
 
It would be the second consecutive year that Vietnam – Japan culture exchange and Cherry Exbition are organized in order to strengthen the relationship between Bacninh – Japan in particular and Vietnam - Japanese country and people in general. Therefore, these activities would improve mutual understanding and trust between people of two countries. It would also be the opportunity for exchanges in experience and cooperation of culture, tourism and economics between Bac Ninh and Japan./.
