Provincial Youth Union kicks off Youth Month 2024

Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Thi Hang hands over the flag of command of the volunteer formations to Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Duc Sam.

Attending the program were Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Youth Union and Luong Tai district.

With the theme "Bac Ninh Youth volunteers for community life", in Youth Month 2024, Youth Union ministries at all levels in the province will focus on promoting propaganda and education about the glorious traditions of the Youth Union; propagating the meaning of Youth Month; deploying learning and thoroughly grasping the Directives, Resolutions, and Conclusions of the Party and Youth Union to cadres and youth union members; 100% of district-level Youth Unions and implementing at least one youth project to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

At the same time, the units organize career counseling to 12,000 youth members and introduced jobs to 1,500 youth members; provide free medical examination and medicine for 1,000 policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances; admit 5,000 new union members; introduce 230 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit; built and repaired 7 - 10 km of electric lines in the "Light up the country roads" movement; plant and care for 80,000 trees in the "Green Journey" movement...

At the Program, the Provincial Youth Union launched the Tree Planting Festival "Eternally grateful to Uncle Ho" Giap Thin Spring 2024; launched a contest to create propaganda content for the Code of "Traffic culture of Bac Ninh people" among children throughout the province; launched volunteer teams to implement Youth Month targets in 2024; handed over livelihood models to 10 households in difficult circumstances in Luong Tai district (including 300 breeding chickens, with a total worth of VND 20 million); presented 10 scholarships to 10 students with difficult circumstances to improve their studies.

Also at the Program, SOTEK Group Joint Stock Company handed over the youth tree project; Synopex Vietnam Joint Stock Company handed over 06 direct drinking water filtration systems to students and children in Yen Phong, Luong Tai districts and Thuan Thanh Town.

On this occasion, the Provincial Student Association in coordination with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Bac Ninh Branch presented Sustainable Future Scholarships to 08 outstanding pupils and students with each scholarship worth VND 05 million.

Immediately after the program, provincial leaders, delegates and youth members participated in planting trees at the "Youth Tree Street" project at Binh Dinh Commune Kindergarten.
