Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation directly surveyed, inspected the field of the national defense construction area, and listened to a report on map, as well as contributed their comments to planning and construction plans for combat works in the provincial defense area.

Tuan emphasized that the construction of national defense works is a strategic task in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. The construction systems that are being planned and built have important and practical significance to strengthen the provincial defense area, the all-people national defense posture, and enhance the defense ability to protect the Fatherland, he added.

The Secretary assigned the Department of Construction and the Provincial Military Command to jointly review the national defense construction projects to ensure that they are compatible with zoning plans in the province. At the same time, the competent authority must ensure the integration of the national defense works’ functions with the potential for exploitation and development of trade, tourism and services; and determine the scale and number of works in combination with the planned transportation system. As a result, the combination between national defense and economy is effective and does not exceed the total area of national defense land that is planned in the province.
