Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Quoc Chung visits and gives Tet gifts in Thuan Thanh town

(BNP) - On the occasion of Lunar New Year Giap Thin 2024, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Quoc Chung on January 31 visited and gave Tet gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution, the elderly people, and social protection subjects in Thuan Thanh town.

Chung and the delegation visited and presented 50 Tet gifts at the Center for Disabled Children Relief in Thuan Thanh town. He visited and gave gifts to the children on the occasion of Tet and encouraged them to overcome the difficulties and strive to rise up in life. He also asked the Center's staff to continue to improve their spirit, responsibility, care, and compensation for disadvantages, helping children become useful citizens for society.

Visiting and wishing Happy New Year to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Cuoc, 95 years old, in Hoang Xa area, Ninh Xa ward, Chung asked about her health and life situation and wished her to celebrate the nation's traditional Tet warmly and joyfully. The Standing Deputy Secretary affirmed the Party and State always remember and show deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of Vietnamese heroic mothers and families who have contributed to the cause of fighting for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

The Standing Deputy Secretary also visited and gave gifts to Mr. Nguyen Thi Nguyen, in Tram Trai quarter, Ninh Xa ward, who turns 100 years old this year. Chung wished her a warm and happy traditional Tet with her family and children. He hoped her would continue to be a solid spiritual support for her children and grandchildren to study and work, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.
