The 4th traditional instruments and folk singing festival of Bac Ninh province

The duet performance "Proud of Thuan Thanh land of a thousand years" (Thuan Thanh district) won A prize at the Festival.

Attending the Festival this year were nearly 300 artisans, actors, musicians from art clubs of 8 districts, town and city. Units brought to the Festival 49 performances in  a wide range  of categories with the theme praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the love of the homeland, the tradition of the land, people of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac. Especially, besides the Quan Ho folk songs, they presented many other folk songs, such as Tuồng, chèo, Huế folk songs, Chầu văn singing, Ca trù singing, Xẩm singing.  Most of the items have a combination of traditional instruments, lyrics and dance, giving the audience many emotions and good impressions.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded First Prize to 4 units: Thuan Thanh, Que Vo, Tien Du and Tu Son town; Second Prize to units: Gia Binh, Luong Tai and Yen Phong districts, Bac Ninh city, Tứ hoa Liên khu Club and Dân ca 3 miền Club, and awarded certificates of excellence for each content.

The 4^th traditional instruments and folk singing festival 2019 is an occasion to honor and introduce typical cultural heritages and distinctive features of each locality, to encourage amateur actors, artisans dedicated to traditional culture, young talents who are operating effectively in the grassroots cultural movement and to preserve and promote values of folk art forms in the province.
