Thuan Thanh town responds to Earth Hour Campaign 2024

The Earth Hour is an initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise public awareness about climate change and energy savings worldwide. On Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the lights will be turned off for one hour in observance of Earth Hour.

Besides, the relevant units participate in the campaign to turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment during the Earth Hour 2024 campaign event; organize communication activities to raise community awareness in March 2024; mobilize people in the town to participate in Earth Hour.

Accordingly, the Town People's Committee assigns the Urban Management Department to turn off the lights on the town's central roads and decorative lighting systems from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024.

The Center for Culture, Sports and Communications organizes propaganda and dissemination on the town's radio system about the Earth Hour campaign 2024, teaching people how to use energy more economically and efficiently to improve community awareness about climate change and energy savings throughout society.

Thuan Thanh Power organizes communication activities on economical and efficient use of energy, actively participates in responding to the Earth Hour 2024 campaign; disseminates propaganda at customer transaction locations and the headquarters of electricity units in March 2024; mobilizes organizations, agencies and customers to turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment to response to the event.

The Department of Economics focuses on propagating, disseminating, and instructing knowledge on economical and efficient use of energy to raise community awareness about climate change and energy savings throughout society.
