Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Thanh receives Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea

(BNP) - On June 11, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Thanh received and worked with Mr. Nguyen Vu Tung, Director of Diplomatic Academy, newly-appointed Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, term 2020-2023.

On behalf of the delegation, the ambassador expressed his sincere thanks for the warm welcome of the Vice Chairman. He appreciated the province’s outstanding development over the past time as well as shared and discussed some issues related to investment cooperation between Korean localities and businesses and Bac Ninh province.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Thanh briefed on outstanding achievements in the province's socio-economic development. Thanks to favorable geopolitical location, and attractive investment policies, so far, Bac Ninh is one of the provinces with fast socio-economic development with many indicators at the top of the country. To achieve that success is due to the important contribution of business community, especially FDI enterprises. In particular, Korea is the leading country with more than 920 projects, total investment capital accounted for about 54%, focusing on the fields of electronics industry, auxiliary industry, information technology…

In the coming time, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Thanh hoped that Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung as well as Vietnamese Embassy to Korea continue to support and introduce Korean businesses, thus contributing to promoting the relationship between the two sides.

On the other hand, students of vocational schools in the province directly practiced in Korean businesses to improve their skills and meet the criteria of the business, said the Vice Chairman.
