Ba Chua Kho Temple, located on Kho Mountain in Bac Ninh, was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic in 1989. According to legend, during the Ly Dynasty, a talented and virtuous woman was entrusted with managing the national granary. She played a vital role in distributing food to support both the army and the people during the war against the Song invaders in 1077. She was later killed while carrying out this duty and was honored as a sacred deity. The temple was built on the former granary site to commemorate her contributions.

Nowadays, the temple was not only a significant cultural relic but also a well-known spiritual destination, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year, especially at the beginning of the year when people came to pray for prosperity, good fortune, and peace.

The 2026 festival, held from February 12 to March 18, featured a wide range of cultural, tourism, and experiential activities. The opening ceremony included traditional rituals such as ceremonial reading, drum and gong performances, incense offerings, and the symbolic distribution of blessings.

In addition to the solemn ceremonial part, the festival also offered vibrant activities under the theme “Spring Colors of Kinh Bac – Converging Heritage, Spreading Values.” Highlights included a culinary week, exhibitions of traditional craft village products with around 100 booths, Quan Ho folk singing performances, Dong Ho painting experiences, folk games, and cultural exchange programs with artisans.
