Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh attends ceremony of 25th anniversary of founding of Yangjie Group

(BNP) - On the afternoon of March 25th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh visited Yangjie Group and congratulated the Group's leadership and employees on its 25th anniversary and the opening of its semiconductor equipment factory at Micro Commercial Components Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MCC) (Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Tam Giang Commune).

Established in 2001, Yangjie Group operates in key areas such as: manufacturing and trading of electronic components; development, construction, and technical consulting for solar power projects (supplying modules, components, and system integration; road freight transportation; import and export of goods and technology). In 2024, the Group's revenue reached RMB 6.033 billion (approximately VND 21.1 trillion), and net profit reached RMB 1.002 billion (approximately VND 3.5 trillion).

In Bac Ninh province, MCC Vietnam Group's Micro Components semiconductor equipment factory project was granted an investment certificate in July 2023 at Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, with an investment capital of USD 115 million. The main products are semiconductor wafers and electronic components. The project will employ approximately 450 workers, increasing to 1,100 workers by 2026. The import/export volume is expected to be around 10 billion products per month, with export revenue in the first year reaching nearly USD 19 million. The main markets are Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, and China. Major global customers include Tesla, Hyundai, Toyota, GM, Samsung, Philips, LG, and JA Solar.

In the near future, the Group will implement a new project in Bac Ninh to produce wafers (semiconductor wafers) for the Micro Commercial Components factory in Vietnam and supply semiconductor wafers to the global market, with a production capacity of 2,400,000 wafers per year, bringing the total investment capital to an estimated USD 215 million by 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh stated that Bac Ninh is gradually participating more deeply in the semiconductor industry, considering it a key sector for the development of high-tech industries. Currently, the province has several factories in the packaging and testing stages and is aiming for deeper participation in the value chain.

He emphasized that Vietnam is becoming an important electronics manufacturing center in the global supply chain, creating great opportunities for semiconductor businesses.

The Vice Chairman affirmed that the province will create the most favorable conditions for the enterprise, from electricity infrastructure and production environment to high-quality human resources; and expressed his hope that the enterprise will have a long-term commitment to sustainable development with the locality.
