Bac Ninh city holds meeting to discuss work of inspecting and handling production facilities in Phong Khe Industrial Cluster
(BNP) - On December 4, the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh city held a meeting to discuss work of inspecting and handling production facilities in Phong Khe I and II Industrial Clusters, Phong Khe ward.
Overview of the meeting.
Phong Khe I Industrial Cluster currently has 73 establishments and businesses operating in the production of Kraft paper, toilet paper, and votive paper on an area of 127,800 m2. The Phong Khe wastewater treatment plant is in charge of treating wastewater for the industrial cluster; however, it has not yet received an environmental license and has not been handed over and officially put into operation.
Phong Khe II industrial cluster now has 61 establishments and businesses producing high-quality paper on an area of 288,329.5 m2. Currently, it has not invested in a centralized wastewater treatment system, while some businesses have connected to the Phong Khe wastewater treatment plant.
Up to now, the city’s interdisciplinary inspection team has inspected 30 establishments in Industrial Clusters, all of which have land in the green and traffic corridors inside the industrial clusters. Currently, these establishments have temporarily suspended production activities.
Bac Ninh city agreed to conduct environmental and electrical safety inspections of production facilities in Phong Khe I and Phong Khe II Industrial clusters as directed by the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
In the forthcoming time, the city will inspect 29 commercial steam production facilities in 02 Industrial Clusters in December. After that, it will conduct rotational inspections of production facilities with the goal of completing the inspection work in January 2025 and take measures to handle violating facilities according to regulations. Bac Ninh city also sets an objective of totally handling environmental pollution in the vermicelli village in Khac Niem ward until May 2025.
