Bac Ninh city leads in number of provincial excellent student contest
(BNP) - The Department of Education and Training has just announced the results of the Provincial Excellent Student Contest for the 2024-2025 school year. This is the first exam conducted under the 2018 General Education Program.

The provincial excellent student contest for the 2024-2025 school year took place from January 16-17, 2025, for students in grades 9 and 12.
Grade 9 students competed in the subjects: Math; Literature; English; Informatics; Natural Science, History and Geography. Among which, each district-level Department of Education and Training is allowed to select: Informatics subject with a maximum of 10 candidates/team/unit; the remaining subjects each subject with a maximum of 12 candidates/team/unit.
Grade 12 students took exams in the following subjects: Math, Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Information Technology and English. Of which, Information Technology has a maximum of 5 candidates/team/unit. For the remaining subjects, Bac Ninh High School for Gifted has a maximum of 15 candidates/team; other units have a maximum of 10 candidates/team/unit.
For the Department of Education and Training, the whole province had 491 contestants winning prizes. Of which, Bac Ninh city led in the number of prizes with 85 prizes including: 04 First prizes, 24 Second prizes, 27 Third prizes and 30 Encouragement prizes; Tu Son city ranked 2nd in the number of prizes but continued to lead the localities in the quality of prizes with a total of 78 prizes including: 07 First prizes, 31 Second prizes, 24 Third prizes and 16 Encouragement prizes. In the High School and Continuing Education block, Bac Ninh High School for Gifted won 81 prizes including: 5 First prizes, 16 Second prizes, 22 Third prizes and 38 Encouragement prizes.
In Group A, Que Vo High School No. 1 continued to lead with a total of 70 prizes, including 7 First prizes (the most ever); 16 Second prizes, 20 Third prizes and 27 Encouragement prizes.
In Group B, Que Vo High School No. 2 led with 73 prizes including: 04 First prizes, 27 Second prizes, 19 Third prizes and 23 Encouragement prizes.
