Bac Ninh cultivates 83% of area of winter crops
(BNP) - According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, as of November 26, the province’s farmers planted 6,822 hectares of winter crops, reaching 83% of the planned area and equaling 90.9% compared to same period in 2019.

Among which, Luong Tai district planted 1,107 ha, reaching 97.5% of the area; Gia Binh district was 1,100 ha, reaching 94.4%; Thuan Thanh district reached 560 ha, or 87.7%; Yen Phong district reached 310 ha, or 82.6%; Que Vo district attained 1,922 ha, reaching 80.3%. Bac Ninh city, Tu Son town and Tien Du district reached from 54% to 77% of the plan.
The main crops planted by localities in the winter of 2020 are potato (2,250 ha); carrot (1,200 ha); squash of all kinds (550ha); corn (450ha); tomato (200ha); onion, garlic (over 200 ha); vegetables (2,050 ha)….
