Bac Ninh Sports wins 85 medals at national and international sports tournaments
(BNP) – According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in the first 6 months of 2023, Bac Ninh sent athletes to participate in 5 international sports competitions, 9 national sports tournaments, and 9 national sports tournaments. 85 medals of various kinds were earned with distinction.

Bac Ninh sent 32 athletes to train the national team and national young team. Boxing, Kickboxing, Pencak Silat, Wushu, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Karate, and Judo delegations competed in 09 national sports competitions, winning 16 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 37 bronze medals.
At the same time, the athletes participated in 5 international sports tournaments: Judo, Boxing, Kickboxing, Weightlifting and won 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 6 bronze medals.
Bac Ninh had 06 athletes participating in the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 32nd SEA Games and achieved 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals, specifically: athlete Nguyen Duy Tuyen won gold in Pencak Silat, men's 80-85kg weight class; athlete Nguyen Manh Cuong won silver in Boxing, 92kg weight class; athlete Bui Ky Su won bronze in Weightlifting, 73kg weight class; athlete Nguyen The Huong got bronze in full contact - 67kg male Kickboxing; athlete Nguyen Dinh Thai won bronze in light contact - 63kg men Kickboxing.
Athlete Do Tu Tung earned two gold medals at the 2023 Asian Weightlifting Championships, and athlete Hoang Thi Kim Oanh won one silver medal in the 2023 World Youth Weightlifting Championships.
