Bac Ninh strives to have 45-50 more farms applying high technology by 2025

(BNP) - After more than 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU dated April 27, 2018 of the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in farm economic development in the country, the province has now 200 farms meeting the criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Of these, there are 43 crop farms, 90 livestock farms, 24 aquaculture farms, and 43 general farms. There are 40% of the total farms (80 farms) applying high technology; 25 farms participate in linking production with product consumption; and 17 farms produce food safety and hygiene standards, VietGAP.

In the province, many concentrated agricultural production areas have been formed such as: aquaculture areas in Binh Duong, Nhan Thang, Xuan Lai, Dai Lai communes (Gia Binh); Trung Chinh, Phu Hoa, An Thinh communes (Luong Tai district), fruit trees in Hoai Thuong, Dai Dong Thanh, Dinh To (Thuan Thanh town), Canh Hung (Tien Du district), Han Quang, Dao Vien (Que Vo commune)…

In the period 2019–2023, the province has organized many training and propaganda conferences for 3,267 farmer households; support investment funds to build infrastructure and accumulate land for farms with a total cost of over 45 billion VND; issue land use rights certificates for 23 farms.

In the coming time, the Agriculture and Rural Development sector coordinates with relevant departments, branches, and localities to continue to review and supplement planning for farm economic development zones and issue land use rights certificates for qualified farm owners; focus on linking, improving product quality, protecting the environment, ensuring food safety and hygiene on farms, and striving to have 45–50 more farms applying high technology, from 30-35 farms linked along the value chain to 5–8 products from farms participating in the province's OCOP Program.
