Banking sector mobilized capital of VND 97,000 billion

(BNP) - In the last months of the year, the banking sector continued to increase capital mobilization to meet capital demands of production and business for enterprises, organizations and individuals. By the end of November, total mobilized capital was estimated at VND 97,000 billion, up 1.1% compared with previous month and 19% compared with same period last year and 7.3% in comparison with the end of 2017.

Particularly, individual deposits reached VND 56,800 billion, up 0.3%, 10.3% and 10.8%; institutional deposits fetched VND 36.200 billion, up 2.5%, 31.6% and 2.8%, respectively. In particular, source of deposit from 12 months or more accounted for more than 30%, contributing to helping the banks and people's credit funds in the province to actively and timely meet the loans to expand production and business.

Total outstanding loans reached VND 78,000 billion at the end of November, up 0.2%, 19.1% and 12.9% in comparison with the previous month, the same month last year and the end of 2017, respectively. Among which, outstanding loans of industry and construction accounted for 42.4%; trade and service at 52.5%; agriculture, forestry and fishery at 5.1%. By the end of the month, overdue debt was VND 700 billion, accounting for 0.9% of total outstanding loans, down 8.9% over the end of previous month.
