Ceremony to announce school healthcare program for 2021-2025

(BNP) – On February 10, the Ministry of Education and Training held an online ceremony to announce the school healthcare program for 2021-2025 with 63 venues on a national scale. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also attended the ceremony.

School healthcare program for 2021-2025 was approved by Prime Minister Dam has signed a decision approving the school healthcare programme for the 2021-2025 period in Decision No. 1660/QD-TTg dated October 2, 2021 with an aiming to ensure the physical and mental well-being of children and students through maintaining and promoting educational activities, taking care of, protecting and managing the health of children and students in preschool, general education institutions and specialized schools.

The goal of the School Health Program for the 2021 – 2025 period is to maintain and promote activities of education, care, protection and health management of children and students in preschool and early childhood education institutions. general education, in order to ensure the comprehensive physical and mental development of students. The program proposes 5 important content groups, corresponding to which are specific targets and 7 groups of tasks and active solutions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh required ministries, branches and localities to synchronously implement the Program's tasks and solutions according to their functions, tasks and competence; actively propagate, disseminate and mobilize legal resources; speed up the research, analysis and assessment of the psychophysiological and mental health effects of children; improve physical conditions and school facilities; improve meals and nutrition for children…

At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and leaders of a relevant ministries and branches performed a ceremony to announce the School Health Program for the period 2021 - 2025. The representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health signed a cooperation program on school health work and health care for children, students and students in the period 2022-2026

Speaking at Bac Ninh’s venue, Standing Vice Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan asked the departments, branches and localities to seriously follow the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. He assigned the Department of Education and Training to work with relevant units to implement the school healthcare program in the province in the coming time.
