Chairman of Provincial People's Committee receives General Director of Lenovo Group (China)

(BNP) - On February 20, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with Mr. Bach Bang, General Director of Lenovo Group (China) to visit and learn about investment opportunities in Bac Ninh.

Expressing the gratitude to provincial leaders for the warm welcome when visiting Bac Ninh for the first time, Mr. Bach Bang said, Lenovo Group is a global enterprise operating in the fields of manufacturing computers, phones, and electronic accessories, and is the provider of 24% of computers worldwide.

Through reference to some big enterprises investing in the province as well as directly visiting several industrial parks, Mr. Bach Bang highly appreciated the potential and advantages of the province and wished to build a computer components factory with an area of about 30 ha in Bac Ninh and its products would be exported directly to the USA.

The leader of Lenovo Group (China) wished to receive the support of the provincial leaders on a wide range of sectors such as business preferential policies, high-quality human resources, customs procedures and so on.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Quynh extended his greetings to the General Director of Lenovo Group and briefed him on remarkable achievements in the province's socio-economic development over the past time. Thanks to favorable geopolitical location, modern and synchronous transport system, and attractive investment policies, so far, Bac Ninh has become a dynamic development locality with many leading indicators across the country. The province has now 16 concentrated industrial parks, attracting more than 1,300 FDI projects with a total investment of about 18 billion USD from 33 countries and territories, of which China ranks 5th with about 160 projects. The FDI enterprises in the province have been operating stably, contributing to the development of the province and accounting for 73% of the province's industrial production value.

Regarding the desire to build a factory in Bac Ninh, Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh stressed that in addition to preferential policies for projects with large investment capital and high disbursement rate, the province would have special policies which support human resources training, housing for workers, and promptly remove difficulties and create favorable conditions for enterprises to invest in the province.
